| Abstract | Extradural compression of the spinal cord is a radiotherapeutic emergency. The outcome of treatment depends on duration of symptoms, extent of the cord involvement and histopathology of the lesion. The complete transaction of the spinal cord including bowel and bladder involvement carries uniformly bad prognosis, especially when associated with long duration. This communication deals with a clinical study of 62 cases of spinal cord compression recorded at our department. |
